Michael Amendolia has dedicated over 30 years to capturing powerful stories that inspire action with The Fred Hollows Foundation. He had the privilege of meeting Fred Hollows before his passing in 1993, and has since continued to document Fred’s vision through striking images of blindness prevention work across the globe. From the early days of the Foundation, Michael’s photography has taken him to places like Nepal, Eritrea, and Vietnam, where he documented life-changing moments of restored sight. He believes in the power of storytelling to drive change and remains passionate about using his lens to create a world where everyone can see.
