Earlier this year, Dr Sanduk Ruit shared the exciting news that a new eye hospital had opened in Nepal’s Madhesh Province – a place where thousands of people would finally receive the eye care they need.

Now, you’re invited inside.

Watch as Dr Ruit takes you on a personal walk-through of the Nijgadh Tilganga Community Eye Hospital – a state-of-the-art, four-storey facility delivering sight-restoring care to some of the most underserved communities in Nepal.

Each year, nearly 55,000 people will be treated here – many for the very first time.

From emergency services and modern operating theatres to counselling rooms and a pharmacy, this hospital has been designed to care for patients with dignity and compassion.

This is more than a hospital – it’s a vision brought to life. One shaped by decades of dedication and a shared belief between Dr Ruit and Fred Hollows: that everyone has the right to sight.
