We cannot forget children like Night
NIGHT CAN’T WAIT ANY LONGER. HER TIME IS RUNNING OUT.
With every day that passes, Night is brought closer and closer to permanent blindness.
Her parents can’t bear it. They watch on, heartbroken, as their daughter pretends to read and write.
“Please God, take me to school,” she cries out.
But her parents know that it’s too dangerous for her to even leave the house on her own.
The worst part is knowing that there is nothing they could do to help - they simply cannot afford the surgery. And without surgery to remove her cataract, she will be permanently blind.
In Kenya, blind children from poor families face a lifetime of disadvantage. They grow up at risk of being socially isolated or even exploited. It is worse for girls like Night.
We’re living in unprecedented times right now and there are many things that are out of our control.
But we can still control what happens for children like Night. You can restore their sight, before it’s too late.
In times of crisis, the vulnerable become even more vulnerable. That’s why we need your help now, more than ever.
There are thousands of children like Night who are waiting for sight-saving surgery in Kenya and we only have a small window of opportunity to reach them.
Blindness does not wait. And neither can we.
Please donate today so we can reach children like Night before it is too late.
