Fred Hollows-Book a school talk

The Fred Hollows Foundation is an international development organisation, established by renowned ophthalmologist Professor Fred Hollows in 1992, aiming to end avoidable blindness.

Nine out of ten people who are blind don’t have to be. Restoring sight can change lives. The Foundation trains local doctors and health workers, builds and upgrades facilities, and provides equipment in order to achieve long-term sustainable eye health care.

Special talk: The undermined rights of women in eye care

Over 43 million people are blind worldwide. Women alone account for two-third of these and 90% of women who are blind live in poverty at the same time.

Gender inequality, religious and cultural background are among some of the factors why women and girls are not getting the same right to eye care as men.

Book a talk with The Fred Hollows Foundation to learn more about the problem of avoidable blindness. Each session can be tailored-made based on your needs and interest areas. We welcome invitations from schools, organisations and corporates to organise a talk.

To arrange a talk, fill in the application form below and send us an email to hkinfo@hollows.org or call us at 36146240 a month before your desired date. We look forward to sharing our amazing stories and journey with you.
