What is workplace giving?
Workplace Giving allows you to make small, regular donations to The Fred Hollows Foundation directly from your pre-tax pay. It is a simple, low cost and effective way to help us restore sight and end avoidable blindness.
If your company isn’t able to offer a workplace giving program, you can always join as a regular supporter.
*Based on 2018/2019 annual taxable income of $37,001 – $90,000, excluding medicare levy.
How can I become a workplace giving supporter?
Becoming a Workplace Giving supporter is simple. Here’s how you can do it in five easy steps:
Step 1
Your company may already be part of the Good2Give platform. If not, ask your Payroll Administrator if your company has an existing Workplace Giving Program and registration form.
Step 2
Using your company’s payroll form, nominate The Fred Hollows Foundation as your charity and select the amount you would like to donate. For as little as $25 a month, you can help restore sight to one person in some countries where we work.
Step 3
Your Payroll Officer will set The Fred Hollows Foundation as a vendor. To obtain our BSB and Account number, please contact donations@hollows.org.
Step 4
Your donation will be deducted from your gross salary each pay period, meaning you receive an immediate tax-saving without the need to keep records of your donations. Your employer will provide details of your donation in your end of financial year PAYG Summary Statement, saving you time searching for receipts at tax time.
Step 5
Let us know if you would like to receive updates on our sight-restoring work or invitations to supporter events.

Matched workplace giving
Your organisation can go one step further and match employee donations to double the impact of each gift.
Matched Giving is a smart way to demonstrate your strategic commitment to charitable and social causes that matter to your employees.
Workplace giving programs
I'm an employer - should I set up a workplace giving program for my staff?
Providing a workplace giving option for your employees is a great way to actively contribute to your community, while also allowing your team to feel a greater sense of purpose at work.
Research has shown that companies which demonstrate a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility have staff that feel more engaged and motivated.
In fact, the research shows that of those surveyed, 86 percent of employees say workplace giving makes them proud to work for their company (Good2Give’s Workplace Givers Revealed, 2016).
